Home Brew Kits

There are a variety of home brew kits available. Generally they are pretty similar, though some of them are specifically tailored for a particular style of beer. For the most part, though, this refers more to the recipe ingredients included, rather than the equipment. It is possible to buy home brew kits consisting of only equipment or only malt extract, yeast, and hop extract, as well. Both of these types of kits can be called home brew kits.
 
Sometimes when you buy home brew kits that include only ingredients you can avoid having to boil the wort. It will come packaged pre-boiled with the hops, which can save you a couple of hours.

In any case it is important to practice proper sanitation procedures. Not only is this healthier, but it will also ensure that the yeast will immediately take hold in the liquid and the other microbes will have less chance to ruin the beer.
